Dressing Models For Success

When working with models, always try and have the model's clothes opposite of the dominate color of the background. If a model is wearing primary colors, as in artists color wheel schemes (not film color theory)--make sure your background has more of the opposite colors.
The worst thing you can do is have a model wear orange when photographing her next to a red car.
The key to good color coordination--in order to please the eye, is to have your model "contrast" away from the background.
When working with warm colored backgrounds, have your model select cool colored clothes.
Warm colors are your reds, yellows and oranges; cool colors are your blue, greens and violets.
Next time you're at the beach, don't have a model wear a green bikini and stand with the blue ocean to her back--yuck! Don't do this!

Match a yellow dot to the opposite red dot for a proper complimentary color match.

Instead, try a red, yellow or orange bikini, with a nice blue or blue-green ocean as your background--you'll find this more pleasing--thong or no thong.
