I'd like to extend an invitation to ALL shooters and models to a meet and greet photo day. There are a number of folks I've 'met' through GG and know only through distant contact by phone or email, and I would like the chance to put faces with the names and voices I've dealt with, and hopefully make some new friends in the bargain.

What I am proposing would be a free-for-all photo day at McConnell's Mill, a state park about an hour north of Pittsburgh PA. McConnell's Mill park is a glacial valley with white water rapids, water falls, magnificent rock formations, deep forest dotted with house-sized boulders, and is said to be the most photographed spot in Pennsylvania. The scenery is simply gorgeous and I've used the location in the past for everything from fashion to fine art. Shooters would be welcome to bring their own models or simply enjoy the natural scenery.

All models are encouraged to sign on for the day as well - a great way to reach new shooters.

Aside from event coordination I will be providing some sample films for the day (for those who still bother to use such an old fashioned method of shooting [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] ). Naturally, any models should expect to receive enlargements from all shooters that they work with for their time.

The current target date is Thursday August 7th. This date may change if there are enough requests, but a weekday is preferred so we won't have to deal with weekend traffic at the park.
