I am looking for feedback if there would be enough interest in a SERIOUS portrait and wedding workshop to be held possibly in, get this, IOWA, near Iowa city/Cedar Rapids but it's not etched in stone. 3 hotels within 12 miles of this location and Iowa City has plenty within another short driving distance.
The reason being for this location is children I have access to, as well as models to fit a wide range of client based high school portrait client types. A church for the wedding seminar portion, a large studio, Outside park(weather permitting) plus small town atmosphere to keep a serious educational seminar on portrait and weddings without distractions making it an excellent educational venue. Obviously this is my forte'. There will be shooting but not a typical Supershoot.
If anyone is interested in something like this that would be serious about learning the business side of Portait and Weddings from everything from Marketing, Lighting, Posing and running a business or to put a little extra money back in your pocket then let me hear from you. Even if you are interested in something like this but don't care for Iowa, then let me also hear from you for ideas in other cities.
The dates being seriously considered for this location is October 2nd, 2004 so time is key in order for me to think about planning it here in the midwest.
