A friend of my recently inherited some things from a family member, among them was an Exakta RTL 1000 35mm camera. there doesn't seem to be any serial number anywhere on the camera. The only markings are "Made in Germany(East)" on the bottom. He doesn't know if he wants to sell it or not and I haven't been into photography long enough to be of much help. It's seems to be very well made and reminds me of my Pentax K1000. It has a form fitting leather case with the word "Pentacon" on the front. Any info would be appreciated. Unkown what year or even decade his uncle bought the camera.
Thanks Mike, found tons of info through the links, apperently it was made around 1970, I'll pass on the info.
