During NAB this year, a lot couple video camera makers (Ikegami and Panasonic i think) debuted HDTV cameras that used the CMOS sensor rather than the 3 chip CCDs. Stating cost of chips and reliablity for the change.

In an article I read, it stated that the CCDs were can be damaged by radiation, i.e. xrays & microwaves. This why that the Hubble Space Telescope was one of the first cameras equiped with a CMOS type sensor.

Nothing I have has a CCD, but I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with and older DSLR that have CCD after they have gone on airline flights?
