No it didn't, it is right here: http://www.glamour1.com/forums/tech-...tml#post265042 (Some RAW Questions)
And I alluded to where it was in my previous post. If you would actually spend some time in thoughtful reading, you might actually notice the relevant details, instead of pointlessly rehashing the same things over and over and acting like you are scoring some great point.
15 seconds with Google on your part would have saved you being a jackass because...
My word is my credibility. Lie? What exactly do you think this is? I will tell you what it is not: It is not an adversarial process. It is not a "battle of wits", for which, given your somewhat random and ill-formed ramblings in this thread, you do not appear to be very well armed. Take a little parting advice: If you are going to battle someone, learn to read what they write with a little care, particularly when they address specific points that you raise.
This is supposed to be an environment where photographers share what they know for the betterment of all members. The first item of the G1 Core Values and Beliefs http://www.glamour1.com/forums/view.php?pg=core_values is "1. Honesty above all else, nothing less."
Lie to you? What for? I couldn't be bothered. It would serve no useful purpose and would be counter to every reason why I even bother to participate in this or any other forum. Thank you for wasting my time while I was trying to help correct your misunderstanding. I did, however, learn one thing during the course of this thread. Your last post has made your character crystal clear. I will have nothing more to do with you.
Well, just remember about the belitling point, if you felt that I started it, then you didn't help stop it by doing the same thing. And lie, if I wanted to state such a thing, I would have outright said it, I merely pointed to the point that you should have proved your point ie. with the link you provided to an outside source. I'm done with you, have a good one!!!!

Have a look at the source code... If you're not a programmer, let me explain how it works: if no rotation are performed, the program just copy part of the raw file in a new file with jpg extension. That's why it can "create" a thousand jpg a minute. Try it to get jpg files to your computer directly from the raw files on the memory card, if you need a quick preview... It's slower if you want the jpg to be rotated when necessary, because that's real processing as they are not correctly rotated in the embedded jpg, but still much faster than copying all raw files and then using Bridge (or else).
Thanks gd. See, even if you bring your own program, I'm inclined to believe you on that because you offer proof behind what you say. As far as using your program over Lightroom or Photoshop, sorry bro, I'm sure your program is good an all, I just like using Photoshop, but I'll give it a look or two.

My program is not a replacement for Photoshop or Lightroom! It does only one thing (fast!). OTOH I wrote it because neither of these two seems to do what it does. If anyone knows how to do it with Photoshop or even DPP, I'd really be interested to know. With Photoshop I know how to batch create JPG from the raw files, but it's quite slow as it reads the entire raw file, then process it to actually get a image, then process it to get a jpg file. And you could add processing for a resize if you want a smaller file: the embedded ones from my 30D are 1728x1152 and I find it's a good size for a fast preview.
Hey KG and Robyn, obviously we aren't going to convert each other to the othe brand, as I said before, I hope that PhotoDave has his question answered. Isaiah
I don't think anyone is trying to convert you over from the dark side.
I think we are just trying to let you know you are wrong about how your camera works. Try the cool program by gdzid and you will see that what Rob and I told you all along is true. There are embedded jpegs in your RAW, just like in everyones.

I just tried your program on some Canon RAW files. It worked quick and fine. They do look somewhat contrasty than the ones that came from the camera process. I shot RAW + LF JPEG. I wil play with it some more.
Thank you for the tool. I used a Breeze Browser Pro to do the same thing, but never got around to buying the program after the free trial as there are so many programs tools out there is is a little overwhelming.
