which flash

Hello all, have a simple question. I have a Fuji S2 and want to get a flash for it. Will a Nikon flash unit work. Thanks for your help.

Does you manual indicate what flashes are compatible. I would guess Nikon flashes would work. I have a couple Nikons and a Metz that I really love.

I used a Nikon SB-26 with my Fuji S2 and it worked beautifully. You could also use a Nikon SB-28 or SB-28DX (I use an SB-28DX with my Fuji S3).

KEH (www.keh.com) carries both flashes used in excellent condition for about $135 and $115 respectively.

Also consider getting a Nikon SC-17 coiled extension cord for off-camera flash positioning, and a Stroboframe Folding Flip 35 bracket to keep the flash above the lens (with the camera in either horizontal or vertical position) to avoid shadows to the side of your subjects.
