Anybody Use White House Custom Color?

Hello all,

its been a long time since I have posted on here. Are there any photographers on here that use White House Custom Color for their prints?

Here is my issue. I have a beautiful red rose that when viewed normally is bright and beautiful but when soft proofing the photo the red turns to more of a maroon and looses its bright beauty. I have tried and tried to figure out how to adjust the rose so that when looking at it in soft proofing it will look and print the way it looks normally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

White House delivers great prints, they print it the way I send it in and I've never had a bad print from them in the 2 years I've been using them.

I am not saying the prints are bad. I just cannot get my reds adjusted so that they print the way they look on my monitor before soft proofing. All my other prints look great and I have been using them for years.

Re: Anybody Use White House Custom Color?

When you are soft proofing, what are you proofing 'to'?

WHCC can read the embedded profile and convert it on the fly to the one for their machine. You can send them Adobe colorspace and it will get converted for you.

They are using Kodak paper, which supports enhanced reds.
