Quick lighting question

Just starting out in modeling photography.
I have a single studio flash that I am using with reflector, what other type of lighting do I need for backround lighting/hair lighting.

For background and hair lighting, I'd recommend a second studio flash head and a set of circular grids that fit inside the standard reflector. Another approach, especially with a hair light, is to employ a strip box (long, skinny softbox), but I'd get the grids first. I use grids a whole lot more often than a strip box for backgrounds and hair.
