Clear acrylic suggestions?

Does any one have any advice on clear acrylic to place over seamless? It seems to me a thicker acrylic 3/8” will have a deeper luster but will have to be butted together instead of overlapping two 4x8 sheets of thinner acrylic. It’s a little on the pricey side so I’d like to buy right the first time. Maybe all I really need is one sheet, but that seems like a really some work place. What works for you?

get a 6' x 8' 1/4" sheet. Thickness does nothing for the reflection. The reflection is created by the surface only. JohnE uses a car buffer to polhish out the surface when it gets messed up. I don't know what he uses for polish. One of his reply to a thread says this.
