Any thought on this lens?? I'm looking for a cheaper telephoto, unfortunately I can't justify a L series but this one seems too cheap.

I don't have any knowledge of this lens but in a recent thread (http://www.glamour1.com/forums/tech-...dy-yes-no.html) I commented on a Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG and posted a few examples. Perhaps this information is of some use to you?

Thanks for the info. I really like my shots sharp but am trying to weigh sharpness against cost. Your suggestion of Sigma now adds another thought to the mix. A friend just loves Tamron and I have a Tamron 19-35 that is pin sharp but the cost of this one 55-200 lens seems unreal.
