Alright... The other poll is going well and I see digital 35mm format is overwhelmingly the camera of choice. Now let’s see what is your brand of choice for your camera.

Seeing is believing.... But capturing it is something else!!!
Regardless of brand, I've always been a firm believer that a good artist can paint with a nail. A good painter an expensive brush does not make! It's about the artist and not the tools. And so, with that, I think that all of this chest thumping about Canon or Nikon being the best is pernicious blather. "Your Schwart is bigger than mine", you say? Well, I say it's not the size of the Schwartz that matters; it's how you use it. With all of the petty arguments about Canon vs. Nikon, ad nauseum, I guess it's safe to say that the photographers of years gone by all suck because they didn't have a 1.21 Gigawatt Hasselfree digital camera and so they couldn't create beautiful photos. I say BULLSH*T. Just give me a device that has an aperture that opens and closes as fast or as slow as I want it to and give me some good glass and I'm happy. I don't care if it makes coffee, has a 2" LCD, writes at 48x, or whatever. It's the ARTIST not the tools!!!
Good day sir!!
Mike
I agree about the camera being a tool and the photographer's technique being the important part.
However, Canon all the way baybee...

Hmmmm, I did not want to create and ill will around here just curious as to what eveyone is using. I would never say my brand of camera is better that anyone elses.... But Canon would....

You left out a bunch of brands. Wonder how frequently "other" would be checked.
Mine is a Panasonic. I think the plastic is OK. In a couple months I'll post results and folks can judge.
I would have put more options but 8 was the max allowed... other would have been a good idea had I thought of it.

I shoot with a Canon 35mm digital and my backup camera is a Minolta 35mm film camera.
I don't see this as a brand bashing thread, but just as a way of gathering some information. I'm currently using an Olympus E-1 as my primary camera with a Canon 10D as my backup and a Canon S-70 as an auxiliary. If I had the money, I'd get a 5D, not so much for the extra pixels as for the real 35mm format. One of the main reasons that I was attracted to the E-1 was the 4/3 format.
