I'm going to be using an S3 for the first time. Are there any "suprise" settings I should be looking for? You know, the kind of thing like "if the sharpness is set on normal, everything will look absolutely horrible"...that sort of thing.

What ever you do..dont use film mode 2 on skin...ESPECIALLY with hot lights. I leave the sharpening off..and most other settings on std..use wide dymanic range but it makes the files huuuuuggeeee in raw...and very slooooooooowwwwwwww to record. Painstakingly slow as I found out at a shoot at a bar this am...

I see that the WDR makes the files much bigger. Thanks for the tip. If been shooting around with it a bit (using a Nikon ED AF-S 28-70 2.8 D lens) and I like this camera!
