I have the Canon 14mm and it is a great lens, I would not call it cheap by any stretch of the imagination, especailly if you check out what they go for new.

Yea, I am thinking of getting the sigma... I don't want to spend too much, I may not even like using one that wide...

The Sigma has gotten some good reviews and if it is not a Lens you will use too often, it should work out great, I was crazy to pay what I did for my Canon 14mm ($1500 used) but they hold their value and I was able to afford it at the time.
