Can someone please tell me how to format a compact flash card in the Fuji S1? I just loaded Windows XP on my new system and it seems to be confusing the card!!!

Jeff

You put the card in the camera, hit the image button (the one that brings up the image -- to the left of the LCD), when the image is up (or "no image") hit the menu button (under the 4-way control) and it should bring up a menu to "erase all" or "format." Use the 4-way control to move the highlight to format, press the menu button again, and it should prompt you with a "Format card are you sure?" Use the 4-way control to highlight the "Yes" and it should format in about a second or so.

Is that what you're talking about? I always format the images and never erase them. Erase takes lots more power and the format is long-term better for the card -- particularly if it's a Microdrive.

I'm thinking about selling my S1 since I bought the s2 -- any interest out there?????
