Male photo at Antique place

Did this photo at Some Antique Roman place near my home at the late evening.
As beeing an amateur it was my first shooting at the open space(out of studio) and had a problem as I bring only my kit lens for Canon EOS350D(I also have CAnon 50mm f1.8) so almost all photos appeared to be too soft and some of them even blurry(miss the focus I think) but I made this one which appeared to be better then the rest photos....
Did lot of PSDmix untill I get this kind of BW conversion.....
Would like to have some comments or suggestion about this photo and even some suggestion to improve next shooting...
