I know some of you were wondering if I even owned a camera by now, LOL, but here are some shots we did about a week ago. A lot of you here probably know of Angel Pennington, who provided the awesome makeup here. Well the model is her sister Victoria, and she was a lot of fun to shoot! BOTH the Pennington girls rocked!!!
I tried a fashion-inspired lighting style here (I really dig the look coming out of a lot of fashion venues), just one medium softbox high on a boom, just kinda experimenting here. This first shot was supposed to be just a digital test before the film, but I ended up keeping it.
The specs:
Nikon D100 - ISO 200 - f16
One medium softbox high overhead on a boom, angled down about 45º.
White seamless backdrop, but far enough away to register as gray.
These next ones were shot on film, same lighting setup:
Nikon F4, 70-300mm f4-5.6 lens
Kodak Portra 160VC (rated at 125)
f/13 (I think)
Anyways, what do you guys think? Thanks for the critiques!
Sam
P.S.: By the way, KellyG, if you're reading this, that white dress is one of my new dresses I was telling you about! I'm guessing that it looks better on her than it does on me, though.
