Another of Dani from Smackdown

Looking through some of my San Diego Smackdown images I found another one that I liked of Dani.

Here it is for your review, comments and suggestions for improvement. Thanks.

Obviously there was something in front of her reflecting lots of light back up into her face.

It appears to me it was just a little too much reflected light there, and it almost borders on going into horror movie lighting. If that reflected light could have been backed off a bit, I think you would have had a much better image. Notice how her chin seems to blend into her upper chest. A little shadow there would have helped make it look more natural IMHO.

Secondly, I think you can crop this down quite a bit. The left arm is chopped anyway, and her left shoulder looks pushed up. Cropping just below her right elbow and about half way across her left shoulder makes her face the cental interest, not the cactus behind her. But again that's just my opinion...

Thanks for the feedback. I have played with the cropping and see what you mean. The amount of light on the otherhand is too late for me to correct. You are right, it was a gold reflector and pulling it back away from Dani would have made all the difference. Live and learn.

Okay, there is a lighting issue.

If you have PhotoShop or one of the other editors maybe you can still do something by burning in the area under her chin a bit. Yes, it'd take a little effort, and there is a definite possibility it wouldn't work because of color shift, etc. But you never know til you try. Worst case, you might have to convert it to B&W.

There are some lighting effects in PhotoShop that you might use to "create" a more normal lighting feel, but you'd still have to burn under the chin a bit.

A lot depends on how much you like the image and how much effort you want to put into it.

I have to say this, she is hot, I love brunettes with green eyes. From an artistic vanage point, the lighting issue dosn't bother me, but what does is the color cast of the plants behind her. Sorry bro, I do color corrections full time. What I would do is make a clipping path around her, change it into a selection, inverse the selection and go from there, it seems a bit heavy on the red. Good luck bro, and is she around Fresno and is she single? LOL

Just the background, hence inverting the selection. The color on the model looks fine.
