Don’t settle for the same old photos!

I like it all except this sentence. The "amateur photographer" overshadows everything else you say. I'd put it last and explain that you provide professional results but since you don't derive more than 50% of your income from photography you feel more comfortable listing yourself as amateur.

My opinion, take it for what its worth.

We know that professional or amateur is in the results NOT the income. But prospective models may not understand that yet.

In addition to the comment about "amateur", I'd take out the part about your equipment. It's the results that matter, not the equipment used to make it. I've had images published that were made with a cheap camera I picked up at a yard sale, and I've made a lot of trash-can fodder with $11,000 worth of gear. I've never run into a client that only hires photographers who shoot Canon/Nikon/Olympus/Hasselblad/insert-your-favorite-religion-here.

I took out the word Canon but left the rest because I want to de-emphasize the fact that I have a home studio, but still make sure it's in there so I don't surprise anyone.

I don't know that this is the right phrase, but there's nothing inadequate about a home studio. Just because you're not renting space for $3000 a month doesn't mean you can't produce quality results. I have a friend of mine that photographs motorcycles and automobiles in his "home studio" (a converted barn) that blows the doors off of many commercial spaces. A home studio is just another way of saying "fully stocked" because the fridge, microwave, bathroom, and office are conveniently co-located. Plus, it's climate controlled!!

Hi James,

Apart from 'experienced amateur', 'home studio' and 'Cannon' issues (I agree with other comments on those) I think it is not necessary to indicate (numbers specially) that you are going to give 8 prints of a particular size. What if the model did not expected those, but just the digital pictures on a CD? You lose there. Am I right?

Nah, I'm not losing anything because I don't plan on ever charging money for photography. I'm just looking for practice and experience. I offer a large number of prints and the CD to set myself apart from the 10,000 other beginning photographers out there.
