In the first one I’m having some trouble with the composition. In most of the western world the human eye moves threw an image from top to bottom and from left to right. It’s how we read and how we subconsciously view pictures as well. When composing you want to guide the viewer threw the picture to what you want them to see. I would have had your model lean back a bit more so she was either straight up and down or tilted slightly to the left. I think this would have made it much stronger.
If you look at the photo I attached your eye starts out looking at her head, then proceeds down the back. When you get to her knee you are pulled back into the image to the stool and up the stool to her face again. This is not one of my best shots but does illustrate good flow in the composition.
