Something artistic

I took this photo a few years ago, I found it while looking through some older files. Just thought that I would share and see what you think. This was one of the first photos I took.

While there are a few hot spots I find distracting there are a few other problems I think you should address. 1) Her rib cage. Even though we can tell your model isn't anorexic, some find a visible rib cage unattractive. 2) If at all possible try photoshopping her left arm out of the image. 3) Missing legs. Amputation is something that everyone has come across and finds difficult to resolve. To show that she has a left foot, place the foot on the other side of her right leg. It will change her pose but then we know she has a foot. In addition she could have straightened her right leg below the knee to show that she has one. It would be in deep shadow and not a distraction.

Your lighting is right on target and your full tonal range of grays is surperb.

I really like this image. while it may not be "technically correct" to amputate limbs, it is not a distraction to me in this image. I would agree with the comments on the rib cage, but for me, the positives far outweigh the distractions mentioned. I would like to know your lighting setup on this image if you would be so kind to share...You can also tell the model has an exceptional figure...very nice image IMO....

It has been two years since I took this photo so I don't remember what I did for the lighting setup, but I think I used three 250w spots from the left running almost parallel to her body. At the time of the photo I wasn't trying to make something glamour but was going for artistic nude, maxium depth and curves. I thank you all for the comments and will share something else soon.

I wanted to ask, is her bottom leg different shape than her top leg? Or is that from the light not hitting part of her bottom leg?

It looks like a combination of the high contrast and maybe the way her leg is turned.
