having said that (again), you might consider this: the playfulness you're after is better suggested with the eyes, demeanor, and general body language. chrissy's been in front of your camera often enough. i'm confident she can make it happen. tell her not to try to look sexy or playful or whatever. but to *be* sexy or playful or whatever. are you guys married? significant others with each other? i'm assuming yes. so since you don't have to worry about all that photographer/model interaction no-no stuff talked about in the "let's talk sex" thread, why don't you guys break those rules and get playful and stuff? i'm not saying have sex in front of the camera... but, ya know, do that rooster/chicken mating dance thing.... and keep pressing that shutter button while you're doing it!

Well, um, no were not married or even significant others...hehehe Chrissy is a close friend and we like to shoot a lot together. I suppose I could do the chicken/rooster thing but I might get in trouble. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I know what you're saying about cliche's too. I guess for me, since I'm really new to model photography, I'll probably try every cliche' in the book just so I can actually say I've done it before I actually accuse someone of shooting something cliche'. I promise I won't do the rose petals, Jimmy. If I do, you have permission to slap me upside da' head. In fact, I wish you would.

On another note, Chrissy and I are close enough friends that I don't have to worry about the photographer/model interaction problem and can be open and honest with her. I'll just have to keep on working on my posing skills and try to improve with what little time I actually get to shoot. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

jimmy talked about the finger thing already so that is that.

the thing i see is red everwhere. she has redish hair, pink skin tone(could be a WB issue) and then a pink toned wrap. i think i would concentrate on her eyes which stand out to me. great looking eyes. and work on creating something to make her eyes the COI. the black hat is a moot point to me. it kind of blends in with the BG. not sure what part the hat is telling in the story. is she a ganster? is she wearing her lovers hat? does she just like mens hats?

its great to have a willing model to work with you. looks like you guys have a lot of fun.

i love the chicken dance idea. lmao. thats classic
