Portfolios For New Models

Im interested in finding out how do G1 photographers advertise their photograhic services to the prospective clients.

Im sure most of the pro-photograhers hae thier own studio and so anyone (or a model) interested apporaches then throu yellow pages etc. But, what about those who do not have a fulltime office. How do they advertise or market themselves? What can I do so that when a prospectvie/aspiring new model wants to have a fashion/glamour portfolio made they would contact me. where do I market myself etc? any suggestion? cheers

A large part of promotioning yourself is just getting your name out there and marketing yourself. Make sure that people know who you are and what you do. Get some business cards and if you are inclined have some comp cards made up and make them your constant companions.

Another key part is to develop an area(s) of photography and specialize in it. You can't be the best at everything so find an area that you have a particular knack for and focus (no pun intended) on it. Good luck.
