Society event marketing opportunities?

Greetings all,

I'm due to shoot a fundraising event for a local charity soon. I'll be shooting the event gratis, my donation to the cause if you will. It's a very swank, high class affair.

If I get a particularly good shot, I'm considering offering them a copy, getting their address and etc, then mailing it to them along with a business card.

I'm fairly new to doing shoots on my own as a business and any input (or your own experiences) would be most appreciated!
