"Roger the Great" was how he was known to many youngsters (and oldsters) whom he performed magic for. Besides being a professional magician, he was an accomplished photographer, computer programmer and minister. Thank you Marty for letting us know. RFS was extremely helpful to all of us here and I know he will be missed deeply. I always enjoyed his willingness to share his knowledge and assist those of us, like me, who are just learning. Very unfortunate and sad news.
MY FONDEST MEMORIES OF ROGER --
Roger and I used to have lunch at Hooters or Bone Daddy's every now and then. When we were done eating, I'd always whipped out my portfolio and try to attract some of the cute waitresses to our table. Roger never brought his portfolio, and was very shy around girls. Instead, he would take out a deck of playing cards (he always carried playing cards) and start doing the most incredible card tricks. Soon our table was surrounded by tons of girls ... all watching Roger doing his amazing, head-scratching cards tricks. Yup, I will surely miss him.
Sending our thoughts and prayers to his family. Spent a little time on the phone with him a while back, helping me understand some photoshop editing. He will be missed.
Dean
