I am shocked to here that Roger has passed away. I have been catching up with the last couple of weeks of posts and only learned of his illness today. I will personnally miss his tutorials and his contributions to G1 & Shot Critic. I have learned so much from Roger. He was always willing to help and answer our questions in great detail.
My condolances to all his friends and family.
Claudio
As G1 is my homepage when I first crank up my IE, I was stunned to read this. I can't say that I ever communicated with RFS but his tutorials were beautifully done...clear and informative. I do so hope that Rolando ensures that the knowledge imparted by RFS is not lost. I did bring up the request, when it made known he wasn't doing well, for his tutorials to be made into PDFs so they were easily accessed and saved outside of this website. Now it's even more important to do this.
He will be missed.

I just got in from the Atlanta and learned of this sad news. My condolences and prayers to his family and friends. He was always one heck of a photographer contributing more than most people ever knew, behind the scenes as well as in front. He'll be sorely missed.
He joined us at almost every workshop in Texas for seven continuous years and a couple of times in the Virgin Islands, never hesitating to help and always taking care of the talent with great images, helpful advice and more. God Bless him, his family and friends. rg
I also never had the pleasure of meeting Roger, but I was able to speak with him on the phone several times He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayer are with his family and friends. Thanks for the Memories Roger.
I just heard about this today. I am saddened deeply at his passing. He and I shard two passions, we are both Magicians, and photographers. Many times we would post comments to each other that referred to some magic trick or parlance that most would not know or understand.
He taught me alot about things in Photoshop, and his posts here and on ShotCritic were always informative.
I never had the honor of meeting him in person, but we had spoken often online thru our postings and emails.
I know that the world will miss him..
