Flower power

This is Jessica. Very beatiful and easy to work with. This was totally her idea. You can only imagine my surprise when she showed up at the studio with two huge black trash bags full of flower cuttings that she cut in the morning, before driving over to the studio.

Re: Flower power

To many flowers! It cuts down on her lines. Nice idea though.

Re: Flower power

I disagree - it's not a figure study. It's more unique, more special. I think the leaves on her torso are too ordered, too organized - too much contrast to the less organized petals/flowers. I like the colors and especially the textures. It echos some classical and romantic paintings. Can I suggest you try this in a vertical format (woman up and down, with her spine vertical), cropped to give a rectangular aspect about her figure. Like a "Venus" statue. Might work.
It's probably my monitor, or maybe my eyes, but I'm not seeing quite as much texture in her hair as I'd like.
I like it.
Thanks for sharing.
