#1 has, (to me), the better (softer, enveloping) lighting, #2 looks more like an on-camera flash. Both great images, both lovely models. Maybe I need to start going to bars again???
Both shots are nice but I think each of them would have benefited from having a separate light on the background, with the second shot needing it the most. I generally like ringflash but here it is not enough on its own. Background light would also improve the separation between the model and the background.
