$40 Smoke Machine

If you have always wanted a smoke machine NOW is the time to pick one up for a steal. I have seen these adverstised from Halloween speciality stores anywhere from $25 to $100. While it might not be the same quite quality as the commercial models made specifically for studios, it also isn’t nearly as expensive. So if you have always wanted one but just didn’t want to spend the $600 plus from the photo stores, grab one quick - because after Halloween they will be gone.

Living in the U.K. I can't comment on the smoke machine, but having seen this picture I would like to just say how lovely I think the lighting is.
The lighting on her face is directional but the shadows aren't harsh, although for me the best bit is the light from behind that just skims her tummy and legs.

Good catch on the reviews. I had photographer tell me he bought one (a Halloween Fogger) and it was working fine. Do a google search for Fog Machine or Halloween Fog Machine and it will probably yield 1000's of options.
If you just wanted to play and didn't want to spend the bucks do a search and check them out.

Then again, I bought the Rosco Smoke Machine and aren't having any problems - although I paid WAY too much for it.
