Thanks! Tonight it will be 98% full. not sure I'm gonna try again tonight or not. The sun will have completely set before the moon rises tonight. To get far enough south of the light house to get the moon in the background, have to traverse some tough terrain. Pluff mud in the dark, hmmm not safe I'm sure. It's tough enough with sun light. With the sun fully down, all that red and orange will be gone. May not be able to see the light house either. The moon may provide enough light to silhouette the tower???

Great image. I've taken a few full moon rises at IOP, but never at Folly. The lighthouse makes a world of difference.

South side of the island. You can get there by water front at low tide. When the tide comes in, you have two choises, swim or tread pluff mud back to the brush line and find a path to front beach.
