Suggestions for improving breast size for shoot

Hello,
I am contracted to shoot for a swimsuit and lingerie catalog and advertising material for a several beginning fashion designers that are pooling their resources. We have a model agent that helped select models for our shoot based on the garment size. It was important to have models with a good NATURAL body with a good hip to waist ratio. However all of our models have breast sizes around 34A to 36B. For some garments we need to have a more full figure on top around a full C cup or small D. Has anyone has any good experience with fixing this problem either with prosthetics (breast forms or enhancers) or digital plastic surgery (photoshop). Our models are costing us around $200-300/hr rate. They have waist sizes of 24-26 and have 34-36 chest. The agency has models with those sizes and larger (unnatural) breasts for $300+/hr. Does anyone have any suggestions? What would be a better solution, padding, breast forms, photoshop, spending more money for better models? We have a limited budget of 40 hrs of total model work for two to three days of shooting locally.
Any help would be great,
Adrian

Re: Suggestions for improving breast size for shoot

Hey Adriane,

300/hr? Not sure but that seems pretty steep to me for simple catalog work. I would find some other agencies. I have done some checking around in the past and can find plenty of models for anything I might want to shoot for 300-800/day. Are these like NY agencies or big named models?

Re: Suggestions for improving breast size for shoot

You are FAR better off hiring talent that can present the clothing properly than you are trying to do post production work. And for swimsuits & lingerie I'd forget the prosthetics unless they're under the skin. If your time is worth anything to you you'll skip the Photoshop breast-enlargement route.

From your post, it sounds like you have a budget of around $10K for modeling talent. (40 hours x ~$250/hr). You should be more than able to get EXACTLY the body type you need for that kind of money. I don't understand how the agent could have selected A/B cup models for C/D cup clothing. That's not really helping you solve your problem.

How did your team approach the hiring process? Did you just call and ask for rates or did you tell the agency your budget and ask them to work within that constraint? If it's the former then you need to practice your negotiation skills. I'd call the agency back and tell them you've got a budget of $10K, a time frame of 40 hours, and particular physical requirements. Then ask them what they can do to help you solve your problem. Start calling around to other agencies if the one you're working with can't help you. You might also consider contacting agencies in Dallas or Houston and see if they can help you.

Just curious, why do you need natural breasts? I ask because you're limiting your talent choices. Comp cards should help you eliminate the looks you don't like, and in all likelihood you're not going to be able to tell real from fake if they have something on.

Call me a skeptic, but I imagine that this fellow has a girlfriend with a rather small bustline and wants to enhance it for some pictures. That story, however, isn't sexy, so we get to hear that he's hired $10,000 worth of model time, but can't seem to find a hardbody with a C-cup.

Then again, lawyers are paid to question the witness's story.

Adrian - I shoot with tons of Texas models that fit your requirements (without any enhancements) and ALL would jump at the opportunity for a fashion shoot at $300/hr ... heck, many would love $300/day!!

Call me a skeptic ... but I agree with FotoTexas

Re: Suggestions for improving breast size for shoot

Hmm... $200/hr? $300/hr? In a secondary market? And you don't know, apparently, any, of the numerous ways to make a model appear bustier or less busty? Yet you have a major shoot and a budget in the $K's?

None of this makes any sense at all.

Re: Suggestions for improving breast size for shoot

when did models' rates become factored by breast size? 200-300/hr for A and B cups and 300+ for Cs and Ds?

photographa please.

$300+ for D cups? My money problems are over.

Personally I prefer the beergoggle tool in Photoshop, everything looks better when you use the beer goggle tool.
