Those are some nice legs and great color. I haven't quite gotten the white background down, I've tried reflectors but get hot spots. If you don't mind sharing is the secret umbrellas?

Thanks for the compliment. Part of the Vargas series. Not really. This is like the 3rd or 4th model (Sophie) that I ever shot in the studio when I first started out. She brought a suitcase full of stuff and she, Kortney and I just created the fun outfit that kind reminded my of a french oh-la-la theme. Sophie then added her persoanl fun tooch.

Thank you! I use two white 30" umbrellas with Alien Bee 800's set on short 30" background stands placed about 4' from the white seamless background.
I love your avator. That looks like me doing a face plant while wakeboarding in Michigan a few weeks ago. :-)

Thanks for explanation. I think it's time to pick up some umbrella's, which I would have already done if I could buy good ones locally. I hate waiting for stuff in the mail. Regarding my avatar that's me and I choose it because it expresses how I feel about my photography, in over my head, upside down and all those other crash a bun euphemisms.

LOL! I understand the your (avatar) feelings. As for the umbrellas, those are about 9 years old and came with my first el-cheapo light system (long-since burned out.) They turned out to be the best part of the light system.

To kind of back up what John said to Ken, the white unbrella with the satin-type lining is the best for the white background. I tried dull silver and shiny silver, but the white gave the best results. Mine are about twenty years old from Novatron and still do the job. If you have close quarters where there is a colored wall or other things light can reflect off of, go to the lumber yard and get 4X8 sheets of styrofoam (to stand next to the umbrella) to keep from getting colored reflections. Cost is about $5.00 or so and you can make a stand out of PVC pipe or small boards. Rick (Arkie)
