It's called statutory rape. However, the consent ages are different all over the world.

In many cases, an 18 year old photographer could be photographing a 17 year old model and they hook up, she consents and it's still statutory rape. Highly unlikely that would be prosecuted but it can and still face the same sentence as a 50 year old being a pedophile against a 14 year old who consented. Again, it seems everywhere is different and I am no lawyer.

Anyway, relationships happen in all work places and professions and it's not a bad thing at all, but when our industry tilts to thinking we are doing this to hook up, I have a problem with that. Let alone pedophilia. Damn the sick bastaards that end up branding photographers as a bunch of heathans.

That's the point! What upsets me is that the way the law is set up here, it is perfectly legal for a 50yr old to have sex with a 14 year old if she consents.... and that is crazy. It's called statutory in the USA but not here.

That's what I'm saying... it's absolutely ludicrous that, you can have actual sex with a consenting 14 year old, but if you take photos of a sexual nature - well that's a crime! Why aren't BOTH crimes???????

Be clear, I'm on the right side of the fence on this issue...
