My first attempt at outdoor fashion:

All shot in the morning in Jackson Square, New Orleans. My eye is obviously not tuned to fashion, much of the work turned into portraiture and editorial; these are actually the closest to fashion-y that I got.
I had a lot of trouble figuring out where to put reflectors and diffusers to avoid shadows in the shots. Somehow even though you've got natural light there for you instead of having to personally set up, meter, and position 4 strobes, outdoor is way harder!

Re: My first attempt at outdoor fashion:

I think I may have figured out this fashion posing thing. It seems to me the idea is to put the model in as uncomfortable a position as possible without it actually showing in her face... but I could be wrong...

Let me make clear that my comment is not in regard to your images. Rather I am speaking of the top fashion magazines; Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, etc...

Re: My first attempt at outdoor fashion:

I like the last photo best. You did a good job of exposing her dress. My only suggestion would be to possibly blur the background slightly--not completely, just a little. Other than that, striking pose, good hair, great shot!
