Experimenting with Color

Trying a few things in the studio. Comments welcome.

I like it a lot. It can be tough to do a shot like this because you have to use flattering colors, and you don't want them to overpower the model. And she's very cute, which is another reason why it works: when you're using unconvential light (especially coming from unusual directions), using a model with really good features is very important. A model with a big nose or really deepset eyes or bad skin would detract from the effect of the image. This girl looks like she could be lit from right over the top and still look good. You can send her my way anytime (please). My only criticism is that the wardrobe looks dated. The top is less of a problem but still kind of 90s, the pants are history. I haven't cut slits in pants for almost 20 years.

Not bad! A little strong for my tastes, but I like the effect overall.
