Ok, Don, here is the problem. Have you noticed how many posts you have? You have something like 5400. That tells me that you are spending way too much time on the damn computer when you should be focusing on new ideas to get you out of the funk. You need to find a 12-step program for GG junkies and lay off the ENTER key for a few months.

I bet you even have blisters on your fingers and a callous pinky from hitting ENTER. It's the first sign of a much more dangerous syndrome. Tell you what you do....go buy your lovely wife some really nice lingerie from Fredricks of Victoria's Secret, buy her a dozen long stem roses, get some soft music playing and light a fire, get some nice rose' wine and some candles, and spoil her rotten. Give your mind a rest, give your camera a rest, give your computer a rest, and then come back in a week or two with renewed passion for photography and the creative juices will flow! Take your mind off of it. Love on your wife and forget the rest of the world. ESCAPE! (that reminds me...I keep hitting this damn ESCAPE key on my computer but I'M STILL HERE! What's up with that?)

Anywho, take two ibuprofen and call me in the morning. DON'T email. Stay away from that evil machine on the desk calling your name wanting you to come over and tickle it's software. Don't touch it...it's pure evil!! (Hmmmm....what movie was that from? Oh ya, Time Bandits!!)

I love your work, Don! Look forward to more. Just take a break (mostly so I can catch up with you for number of messages posted....hehehehe)

Have a great week, sir, and give my best to your lovely wife!

Hi My name is Don..and Im a GG Aholic, it all started when I saw some incredible images of beautiful women, and I had a beautiful woman dying to have some great images of herself...I never realized how fast I would hit rock bottom with this addiction, but slowly after time,it got to me.
Very well, where should I begin? My father was a relentlessly self- improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen-year-old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims, like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. A sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. If I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fifteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shawn scrotum. At the age of eighteen, I went off to evil medical school

GOOD LORD ITS TRUE!!!!!

Buy or borrow a book. There are so many peripheral things that have to do tangentally with photography that I'm interested in developing to see how it effects what I shoot. Story boarding, make up, the theories and science of beauty, non PS special effects, Soviet art fashion and style, drawing, etc., etc. I like art and coffee table books too. Indulge you other interests and see how it impacts your photography. Here, I'll share my want list.

One of my backward friends just bought the 30 gb video ipod. Ok here is the funny part. He has no computer and has never owned a computer. His newest car is older then he is and he is 25 with 4 cars.

While he was at work, works at the National Guard Base in Boone, Iowa as a mechanic on Black Hawk Helicopters he bought his Ipod. There is free laser inscribing. Now for the funny part. He had written" Rock out with your cock out, jam out with your clam out." I have a feeling he will have no problem with people stealing his ipod when he is in Iraq. 30 minutes after ordering it he had second thoughts, he calls Apple and they say its too late and that it will be shipped by today. So in short be wise as to what you have inscribed.

I want something besides the same ol "S" Curves and Head shots!

Then shoot something besides the same od "S" curves and head shots.

Follow that time-honored tradition among artists - steal ideals from those better than yourself. Want to shoot something different? Spend time studying others' work - I personally like Diane Arbus' work, and Jerry Uesselman, and Arthur Tress, and Harry Callahan, and Irving Penn, and Karsh, and the Westons, and Herb Ritts, and Helmut Newton, and Steve Diet Goedde, and there's a whole slew of fetish people, and ... gee this tedious typing - go find your own inspirations. Look, no, make that LOOK at their works. Try your hand at reproducing some that interest you. Yeah, maybe your particular inspiration won't be glamour, but when does that stop Don and DeAnn?

Good luck.

Best wishes.
