I thought you'd get a kick out of this...I know I did. I received this e-mail today:
Hello,
This is Mr Xxx Xxxxxx, the project Director of Xxxxx Fashion Modelling Inc, based in London, United Kingdom.
One of my clients has requested for about 23 beauty models for a modelling show that will be hosted in London by next month, and the nature of the job will include:
Lingerie,
swimwear,
fashion,
beauty,
tradeshow,
fitness,
commercial print and
runway.
My Agency is contacting you to be part of this modelling show based on the statistics in your profile. Our client has proposed to pay the sum of $150,000 (One hundred and fifty thousand US dollars only) to each of the participating models for the modelling show which has a 5 five) days durations. Also, an additional Up-front payment will be made to you, which will cover your flight tickets and other miscelleanous expenses.
If you are interested, we are expecting your immediate response. Also, you are to forward 6 (six) recent photographs of yours.
Keep fit and God bless you.
LOL.....$150,000 times 23 models....$3.45 million dollars for one 5 day project...plus expenses. Yeah....sign me up. I wonder how many models will fall for this nonsense and send this loser 6 pics.
Crazy world, huh? If he wants your pics, all he has to do is copy from your port. Did you check the source of the e-mail,...was it from an "agency dot com", or anything like that?
Maybe the "client" owns virgin airlines, or maybe he's royalty,..what if??
Have a nice trip!
I got a funny e-mail today too...I responded because I am tired of these people! It's been ten years of I can do this, this and this for you baby. All you have to is...and when you refuse they call you a beeeotch and move to the next prospect...I'm venting a little I guess. That person pissed me off. I guess my point is that they do it because there are always a few that bite. Then they learn to be like us
One of my models got an email yesterday. The sender said he was interested in her as a corporate spokeperson: $10,000/month, company car, wardrobe allowance, and all expenses covered. The message came with links to the "company" and a phone number for the "CEO".
Hint #1 that it was fishy: The email was generic and did not address her by name.
Hint #2: I called the #, and instead of getting greeted by "XYZ Company" I just got a "hello." I told the guy I was calling on behalf of her. He said the company, when it starts, would be based in Charleston, SC or Corpus Christi Texas. I told him my model couldn't move to either location, which quickly ended that call.
Charlie,
Could you pm me the details, just in case they do come to Charleston or contact any of my girls. We had one contact two of the girls that models for me. They wanted their nudes! lol
them Georgia boys aren't keeping the gates closed, and you know what happened the last time!
If you read on in the e-mail they also state that they would deposit the money in your bank acct. Yeah right as if I am going to give some idiot my bank acct information...lol It is a scam to get some naive models to be set up to be robbed so to speak.
I trashed the e-mail...and yes it is sad that some might fall for it.
