With your studio setup and only an 8ft ceiling, one that is removable wouldn't be that hard. You just wouldn't want to be climbing it, just for a little weight support. I haven't done the google search thing, but I know there's a site somewhere for them.
Thanks Cinn,..I am pleased with my recent shoots, always room for improvement though,..I'm still learning.
The pole is aluminum,..I "C"clamp it at the top to the exposed ceiling joist,(studio in garage),..I wedge it downward to keep the bottom in place,..it is not solid enough to "hang on", but ok as a prop.
You could do the same with 2 wooded wedges on a flat ceiling,..just one idea.
