I'm not sure about. I was going for a "Statue" look. I cut her feet off because I was on a rock, with a tide pool behind me and couldn't back up, was afraid the light would change and didn't want to try to change lenses where I was either (I already had to step into a pool up to my ankle to stop from sliding into the water). She had a large pool behind her (see previous image) so couldn't back up.

So, I took it anyway.

I kinda like it, but not sure about the legs.

Trust your instincts, David. It's a great idea, but you know you're right about the legs.

Not trying to be flip or discourteous. Just frank.

Since you don't have all her legs, why not crop it a little higher, say mid thigh. To me that looks a little better, but it is still a nice image.

I was thinking about cropping it. I'll give it a shot.

I'd crop just below mid thigh and tighter on the left and you'd have a winner in my book...

Ya, someone else suggested that too. I'm definitely going to try it tomorrow. I always do better with tight shots in-camera, and every time I try a wide shot, I end up cropping it.

Maybe I should just learn

The MUA sprayed her with a metallic/bronze colored make-up with an airbrush. I watched him mix a few things together, load it in the sprayer, and start spraying. All I can tell you. Not sure what he used exactly. But, it came off with soap and water I'm told.

David,
I like this shot of her a lot, and you know I like what you are doing with this model throughout, but aside from the crop thing you have a bigger problem.

Question: Did you shoot this RAW? If you did you may be able to dig some color or value out of the blown out sky - pushing the hottest spot away from her. I cannot look at this image without the powerful pull into that bright white area. If there were a way to minimize the brightness of that area it would really jam.

Keep up the great work,

Robert
