A Flash. I was experimenting with the 580EX. I took the photo with a 50mm lens, but set the Flash for a wider lens (35 MM) manually to see what would happen.

Dunno if it mattered, but that's what I did.

I've actually velcroed a strip of Bastard amber to my flash unit. It warms the flash color to closer match the sunset.

Used here but I was quite a distance from her, taxing my flash even before I put the filter on it.
