so the model here was actually the mom of the hypersonic five year old human dynamo in the studio to be shot
I got some mom & daughter stuff, of course (marketing 101 - if you don't shoot it you can't sell it) and started goofing with two different pictures...I actually put some structural thought into this, would truly be interested in knowing if it works for anyone besides me.
Have to say first, it's a little frustrating sorting through all the goofiness on this board sometimes to find a real photo question. The goofy threads get all the replies and stay at the top of the list. Hmmm...
There is an element here that I like, the upper right and lower left. The model, and her eyes are striking.
Overall, the picture confused me for a while, meaning I didn't get what was in the lower right, until I realized it was part of the background and connected with the upper left. Might be easier on the eyes just to have a straight collage.
I like the artistic touch, very nice. Mom sure is pretty, will she get in front of the camera for a session? Seems you have the best of two worlds going here. Keep it up!!
Yes, much goofiness here, but fun most of the time in a 'can't take your eyes off it/bus wreck' kind of way
Thanks for the comments. The stuctural thought I mentioned was that, in playing with two different shots, I got all the major angles of her face into one place and even though you might feel you know what she looks like, in the end it's more an impression of the person than a shot.
not something I would do a lot but really interesting to play with.
Thanks again for taking the time to look and to comment
Thanks very much for checking it out. Actually Mom is tall/willowy/beautiful and had modeled as a teenager. Basically wants no part of it for herself now but two different local agencies are already interested in her kid so who knows?
