i'm not sure i'm overly crazy about it from a stand-alone image point-of-view. i think it would work fantastic in some graphic design, be it a piece of advertising or some cyber-art or whatever. that's what it kind of looks like to me... like it's meant to be used as part of something else, as a component of some greater, larger effort. does that make any sense?

technically, it's quite good. the model has true, classic beauty and is perfect for the theme as is her makeup, wardrobe, and accessories.

I understand what you're saying. Which, interestingly, is how I tend to look at what I shoot when I'm shooting. I'm an advertising/marketing art director primarily in my daily life.
