You, sir, are never rude. You also have posted work inyour portfolio and a respected reputation here. This "I'm a newbie and I wanna tell the world I'm cool" crap of late is a little over the top.

Just people thinking they have the right to be bashing other people and their work or posting. When people who never post here and have no work to show start attacking life-time members, it irritates me. And nope, it wasn't even directed at me.

Now, respectful posts, participation in the daily posting, that's great. But the other garbage is rediculous.

Unfortunately, the internet seems to foster rude behavior.

If you can't say something nice, why bother to say something nasty.

It is easy enough to critique without degrading someone's work.

Unofficial after action report:

15 and 16 January 2006 -- 30067852th Battle of wits and witless

Summary:
Several people got pissed and said so.

Chrono:
Somebody (party of the first part) got pissed at somebody(party of the second part), and said so.
Somebody else (party of the third part) got pissed at the person who was pissed because they said they were pissed at the party of the second part, and said so... thus hijacking an otherwise interesting thread...
The party of the first part then rebutted and was subsequently and unceremoniuosly dissed on about having too many posts by the party of the third part who by the way has been a member since 29 Dec 05 (my 46th birthday but, I digress...) and has no images in their portfolio. As you might expect, a minor firestorm erupted and burned merrily for 12 hours or so. As it now smolders, party of the first part has apologized publicly to the party of the second part and nobody's seen hide nor hair of party of the third part since said party (of the third part) chunked the original figurative grenade into the theretofore unrelated 'interesting thread'.
