I missed the thread your all talking about....my life has been a mess in the last 5 or 6 month, but I'm recovering. Back on my feet.

The first year I joined I read, watched read some more then started posting. New people routinely get trashed in her imo to prop up the ego's of some. (sad)
Even in this thread there are people that rarely posts example of their own work but quick to downgrade or negatively criticize others. I sit hear and read and ask my self what could have happened to these people to make them that way?
I've been in war, have seen people killed in our own streets, have seen loved ones victimized by drunk drivers, I got by it. It does make your skin thicker but not more sour.
On the other hand there are people, even in this thread I can't waite to read what they have to say, see what they have to post, learn from them. GG is a very valuable tool to improve your self. I treasure the response of many in here, because they teach me.
I worked for a company back in the 80's that did stock photo's for the less fortunate men's publications and advertizing. I hated it. I will never do it again for any amount of money. I for one will not shoot women in a degrading mannor even if it is what they want. At 50 years of age I can say no, now without feeling bad about making that kind of money. Even if I starve over it.
As for Don, mannnn I wish I was that guy! He has a family that fully supports him in his goal to become a great photographer. And he is!

Lobo If Admin had a way to block my post count I would be more than happy to let them keep my name off the top poster list, seems the amount of posts I make on here seam to be an issue that comes up time and time again. I could careless about post numbers, what I came here for was to learn from and interact with the members of GG. Im sorry my working hours allow me time to be on GG more than others. When I first came onto GG. I didnt know anything about photography period!!!!! with my persistants in wanting to learn. in relativly less than a year I have gone from knowing nothing to having the knowledge to create a fairly decent image, am I a JimmyD,Chunglee,Rolando Gomez,JohnPaul,Doug Lester, Glennusdin no Im not(the list goes on too long to name everyone), would I like to be? yes!
Thats what I came here for and thats what I intend to do, Post counts mean nothing to me, unfortunately Im always in the position of being blasted for posting. So if Admin have the ability this is my request to remove my name from the top posters list and to block it in the future from showing up on the home page. Please!

Don, your right as to post numbers. I don't know what happen before I came here, but I'm here for the same same reasons as you. To learn from those here that have the knowledge, test what I learn, improve on and build upon what I learn here. Like yourself I have plenty of time to be here and do that. So if someone has a problem with that, oh well, so sorry Charlie.
