You very seldom see a hair light in most beauty head shots. You will obviously will in showcasing hair.

It probably could afford a lighter background but I like the contrast.

The main light could have wrapped around more and provided highlights in your hair to stand out a little more on the shadow side.

Again, I actually like the contrast of your hair to the background and in fact a hair light might have made it too portraitish.

This is a lovely portrait that would be less appealing with a hair light as it move the focus of the image from your face. As much as I like your work with Marty, I have to respectfully disagree with him on that point. I would crop the sides more tightly however. Your work, by the way, is the first thing in 30 years that has lead me to wish I still lived in Indiana.
