Fantasy Costume Help

I am wanting to do some shoots inspired by Boris Vallejo art. I am wondering if anyone knows of sources for fantasy related costumes.

I have been doing some "googling" but when searching on a subject like this there is page after page of sites that have every word in the dictionary on their site just waiting to hijack your browser when you click on the link. Out of everything I have searched for I have found only one site that was actually selling what I wanted and they were in germany I believe.

Getting something looking exactly (or close to exactly) like his stuff might not be easy, but chain mail is easier to find (here's one I found from Google):

I used to be heavy into knives, swords, etc., and knew several different places, some that had medieval-inspired fantasy clothing closer to what you're wanting, but I can't remember any of 'em now. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] If I run across any of 'em, I'll let you know.

Also, there's another Sam here (darkleather, I believe is his username -- somebody please correct me if I'm wrong) who makes really nice leather outfits that look fantasy-ish. You may try looking him up, too.

I appreciate the link. I imagine you are right that i won't be able to find quite what I am looking for. I may have to get good with sculpey clay and the gold leaf in a bottle to create my own stuff.

If you do happen to think of any of those other vendors, please le t me know.

Hey again dman.. i love Boris Vallejo's work. I would try to make most of the stuff. Maybe a search on leather cuffs or renaissance festival clothing.. Thanks Hailey. I will try looking up the Renaissance festival to see if they have a list of vendors or anything.

I could definitely see you as a model for some fantasy images. I think you would look pretty cool in a metal bustierre wielding a sword with a real attitude look. Maybe we can collaborate on something.
