Thinking back - Glamour 1™ Putting the Glamour Back in Photography!

I had my first glamour photograph published when I was 14. I'm now 41 and have yet to get another published. Is that a bit of a dry spell?

Well, it was harder than I expected to find the picture. Had to look back through my backups to find it. Scanned a few years ago from an 8 x 10 print.

Comments and Critique? (Remember, it was taken by a 14 year old [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img])

A rather precocious 14 year-old, I hazard. While I was interested, I certainly wasn't photographing such mature models at 14.

Very classic styling.

And as for the "dry spell," I for one have never published a glamour photo, so you're ahead of me.

Ah...back when times were simpler and there still wasn't any color. Black and Whites were better back then.

Good job sir. You had a good eye even then and your subject was worthy.

She worked at the factory my father managed and wanted to enter a beauty contest. We chose 3 photos from the shoot and she won with this one.

Thankyou. B&W was all I could afford to process. Used to buy HP5 and FP4 in bulk rolls and had a nice darkroom set-up in the garage.

This thread and Image remind me of that movie The Summer of 1942.
I saw it as a 14 yr old and will never forget it!!!
Thank you for bringing back that memory!

At 14 shooting this shot with no Camera Shake shows skill in itself! heck I dont even see any spill!

I was teasing you. Love the processing though. I wish I had the space to set up a darkroom. Digital is great fun but sometimes it would be nice to do something more tactile.
