Jennifer on the Beach

Well since Houston was built on the doors to hell it gives us pretty good access to a lousy looking beach most of the year. So I have found the beach looks so much better when you spruce it up a little.

Nice shot, I like the pose and mood presented.

A couple of points though:

As pointed out above, her skin tone (on my monitor) looks a little on the grey/green side.

For my taste, there's a lot of headspace above her...I'd rather see it framed a bit tighter there...

I really appreciate everyones comments on my images alot. I do want to address two issues though.

First I am steadily kicking myself. I teach classes on photoshop for photographers and colorspace on a regular basis, with that said I will let you know that I flipped the stupid switch and for some odd reason I never converted this image to sRGB colorspace for the web, hence the comments that the models skin does not look right. Basically I alienfied her and I did not even have to run a special action to do it.

Now the comments on the cropping. Once again I will state that I greatly appreciate everyones comments but I must encourage you to rember that most of us are shooting in a 4:3 ratio. Almost all of these shots will be converted to the 4:5 ratio. I have to keep this in mind while I shoot so that I will not be forced to crop parts of the image that I really want to keep.

I hope that clarifies things. BTW here is the image properly converted.
