Sithvixen - Natural Light - Glamour 1™ Putting the Glamour Back in Photography!

Here are a few more from my recent work with the Sithvixen. This set was done with natural light and Rolando's black-scarf method. I've done quite a bit of PS work, so I am keenly interested in your thoughts on how I am doing here. Critiques & Comments welcome.

Overall I like both. While I am not a big fan of the soft haze look (now if it was Purple Haze), I do think it works here because what appears to be the window light is from the sides and out of direct view. Some may not like the position of the headboard but I do because her head is above it and I like the curvature of the board and how her body is at the low point. I like the rim lighting on her body it accentuates her lovely form. What bothers me some is her expression is almost identical in both images. But that may be because she was looking at you and not me. Usually models after looking at me too long cannot hold it in and they start to laugh. Hopefully you shot some with the bedspread pulled down. All in all very good. I remember when you started posting here, you have grown mightily grasshopper. they are pretty good, not that mine are great, but I like to have the model tilt her head slightly to one side. I am not real experienced with natural Light but I like my skin to "pop" and this doesen't (Did you use Rolandos WB set to 6000 trick?). This could also be the haze Mike spoke about. Anyway they are not too bad...

Doing another Shoot with the above Model Sunday...

Wow, Greg! I love #1. The rim lighting looks spectacular; it really highlights (no pun intended) her figure. A couple of small suggestions would be to find a way to put some more light on her eyes. Maybe a small reflector? And I also tend to crop too tightly, but just barely cutting off her head and knees feels odd.

Love the photos, though. Very well done.

Thanks. So far, the only time I have had poor results with the black scarf method was when I was using film.

BTW- to clarify on my comment about having done a lot of Photoshop - I only did a little on the model. Mostly I was working with brightness and contrast type things .

You are very kind, my friend. The credit to any improvement I have had goes to the fine folks here, like you, who have been so free with their advice, suggestions, and encouragement.

Alas, I still find I have much to learn. I did not, as it turns out, take any photos with the bedspread turned down. Got any examples of that done well? Everything I imagine off the top of my head seems too cheesy.
