Avoiding the Sacrafice... or Liz on the pyramid (N)...

Elizabeth Ashley on the side of the pyramid, obviously fleeing her fate. Elizabeth and I, with the help of a few great friends, slipped away at the end of the day's workshop shooting during David Mecey's FotoFantasyCamp in Nassau Bahamas last week, and grabbed this quickie. Makeup by Michelle V. of Los Angeles. This was fun but Elizabeth found it to be a bit scary... she literally was about 60 feet above the solid earth below.

An amazing workshop.

I lit this with a ring flash above my head another 5 feet and a second head with a 7inch reflector w/30degree grid up another 10 feet above that - the ring was on a Hensel Porty and the other head was on a Hensel Tria. The ring flash was aimed at Liz the pan reflector was aimed higher at the god head. It was still light out but overcast so this was balanced mixed lighting.

Comments and critique welcome...

Robert

Actually...

no, that is the way the shot looked in camera. I changed the value of the wall outside the steps and replaced parts of the sky in Photoshop, but this is the shot. The strobes overpowered the daylight - what was left of it - and created the feel of darkness and hard light/shadows.

Thanks for the comment Ron...

Re: Avoiding the Sacrafice...

I know what you mean....those sacrafices can be such a bother. That's why I never travel with virgins anymore....oh wait...I don't KNOW any of those anymore.

Sorry, disregard

Great shot by the way,

R

Re: Avoiding the Sacrafice... or Liz on the pyramid (N)...

Awsome image Robert & Liz
It reminds me of the Pyramids of the Sun & Moon near Mexico City, Mexico.

Did you use anything on her skin to make it shine?
